20 Animated Films Vying For 2009 Oscars

Oh my god I'm so excited! 9 is up for consideration for Oscar nomination! I really really want it to win but I have to admit that this has been a VERY good year for animation so there's a high chance of 9 not winning. I mean, there's Up, Coraline, Ponyo, and not to mention the upcoming The Princess and the Frog, which according to the trailer, looks absolutely breathtaking. But 9 comes from a very small studio, and if it made it past into nomination list then I would've already be happy, since all the other contenders come from big studios. And it'll be a slap in the face to all those who thinks that animation is just for kiddies.

(not totally related, but I really notice P4's influence on the additions to character portraits like Junpei and Yukari along with new characters like Saori and Rio, but keeping it close to P3's style. IMO, they did a nice job)

Distraught teen heroine Bella (Kristen Stewart) has become quite the daredevil ever since bloodsucking beau Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) decided he was no good for her and ran away. Seeking an adrenaline rush, she ends up sprawled on the side of the road and bleeding after crashing her motorbike.

Los Angeles might be getting the official “New Moon” premiere, but Gossip Cop can confirm New York will host a special screening of the second “Twilight Saga” film before it hits theaters.
Will any people of interest be there? You might say so.
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, and Kellan Lutz are all scheduled to join director Chris Weitz on Thursday, November 19 in Manhattan for a previously unannounced screening.
